Hi folks....
I've been suffering from a bout of stomach acid recently. It feels like I swallowed a car battery, and this is after taking Protonix every day. I'm also taking an antacid, which helps a bit, but not completely. I think a good bit of it may be caused by stress.
I've had a summer filled with bad eating habits, and would like to transition into the fall a few lbs lighter, and a little "cleaner." With all of the lemon juice, would it be wise to hold off on the cleanse until this settles down?

Re: MC and stomach acid
Wed, August 20, 2008 - 10:17 AMLemon itself is acidic, but the way it is digested our body makes it alkaline. www.trans4mind.com/nutrition/pH.html
An excerpt:
>>Note that a food's acid or alkaline-forming tendency in the body has nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself. For example, lemons are very acidic, however the end-products they produce after digestion and assimilation are alkaline so lemons are alkaline-forming in the body.<<
I haven't done the MC while having stomach acid issues so I can't answer to that - maybe post to curezone? curezone.com/forums/f.asp
