Just thought i would share the recipe i found that lets you make this stuff 1 gallon at a time.

My citrus juicer has a gradient on the side that lets me measure how much juice i have made.

1 make 10 oz of lemon juice and pour that into a empty 1 gallon jug.

the i measure out 10 oz of maple syrup and pour that in..

a lot of maple syrup sticks to the measuring cup of course so i use that measuring cup to collect the first few servings of water that i also pour in until the syrup is all cleaned out.

then i fill up the rest of the gallon jug directly with water..

I use reverse osmosis water i get from the grocery store for this..

as far as cayenne pepper goes i mix it in per glass as i find it i put it directly into the 1 gallon jug it just all settles to the bottom anyway.

hope this helps someone as i don't know about you but i find it tedious to be juicing lemons all day long.

Something my husband, step-daughter and I did when we went on the fast was to buy a bunch of cheap 4 cup tupperware containers and fill them with the right ratio of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne that Robin lists below. Then all you have to do when you run out is dump the contents of the container into your pitcher and add water! It made it so much easier not to have to juice everyday or have a bunch of gallon containers in the fridge.

I like the idea of leaving out the cayenne too. Turns out we liked different levels of heat :)
